Italy seen by others: Le Monde (France)
I the Italian head of state, Silvio Berlusconi, on January 24 received a new salvo of criticism about the so-called "Rubygate" scandal in which he is suspected have paid the performance of an underage prostitute.

Reazione dell'opinione pubblica
Il cardinale Angelo Bagnasco non ha citato direttamente il presidente del Consiglio, tuttavia non si può fare a meno di ignorare le forti allusioni: la Chiesta aveva annunciato che Monsignor Bagnasco si sarebbe espresso in merito al “Caso Ruby”, dal nome della ragazza marocchina con la quale Silvio Berlusconi è sospettato di aver avuto relazioni sessuali a pagamento, quand'ella era ancora minore.
Le critiche del cardinale Bagnasco, che ha condannato il modo con il quale l'opinione pubblica osserva “gli attori della scena politica”, sono ancora più pesanti di quelle di settimana scorsa sorte dal numero due del Vaticano, il cardinale Tarcisio Bertone, who had claimed to be responsible for all the public a "more solid morality."
